I have heard so many great things about the Mielle Organic’s hair care line. The founder and CEO of the product line has managed to grow her and her children’s hair to amazing lengths with her natural product as well.
So of course this, along with the desire to support my fellow queens trying to make it to the top, was enough to make me want swipe my debit card.
After browsing the product line on amazon, I decided I wanted to try the “Moisturizing Avocado Hair Milk.” It was about $13-14 for an 8 fl. oz bottle. If you have really thick hair, like myself, then you will use about half of the bottle during the first use.
The hair milk smells amazing. It has a nice fruity smell (probably the avocado, duh lol) and last all day, which is nice. It is really thick and creamy, which is something I also like.
According to the bottle, this stuff is supposed to be super hydrating for dry, thirsty hair.
Well, it wasn’t.
My hair sucked up this cream in about 20 minutes, no lie, lol.
I re-moisturized with it during the day, thinking that I may have not used enough product, but again my hair still felt dry. Not even any shine from this product either.
I revisited this product again after wash day. This time I paired this milk with olive oil and shea butter. My hair retained some moisture this go around but I had white chunky residue all over my head. No worries, right? It will dry up overnight, right?
The residue was even worst in the morning.
Maybe I have to pair it with a different product instead, Or maybe it only pairs well with other products within it’s line.
I would like to try other products from Mielle but this one just didn’t do it for me.
