Keeping In Mini Twist For A Month

Hey, hey Coily’s!

I hope all has been going well in your part of the world.

It’s hot, I’m pregnant, and running low on energy and patience!

Terrible, I know.

So I decided to try a protective style to make my days easier.

I got the mini twist idea from a few videos I seen on YouTube.

The twist were done on freshly washed and conditioned hair.

I did a total of 39 twists.

Now originally, I planned to keep these twist in for only 2 weeks. But the dread of wash day got the best of me and before I knew it I had stumbled upon week 4.

Anywho, I didn’t do much to these twists besides refresh with water every other day to keep them hydrated. No oils or creams, just water.

The water seemed to have done the trick, as my twists kept their bounciness and elasticity.

By week 4 my roots were looking so bad. I mean, you couldn’t even see my parts anymore lol. (I’ll be sure to insert a picture)

I knew better than to let my roots get like that but I was just too darn lazy to take them out! Lol

The good news is that my hair wasn’t the tangled mess that it appeared to be. And wash day actually went smoothly.

The best part is I experienced little to no shedding.

Overall, the protective style served its purpose.

Have you ever kept a style in longer than Intended? How’d it wrk out for you? Let me know below!
