Using Shea Butter On My 3 Month Olds Hair!

Happy Sunday!

Wheeww. I am tired of hair right about now!

I thought dealing with my own head of hair was challenging and then

Here comes my daughter!

I haven’t really found a routine for my daughters hair yet. Mainly because I don’t use many products on her.

Well a few weeks ago I noticed her hair and scalp were really dry. So I went on the hunt to find something for her hair.

I ended up picking up some organic Shea butter and have been loving it ever since!

I absolutely love this butter for my daughters hair!

I wanted something that wasn’t going to be too greasy and oily and end up running down my daughters face and breaking her out.

So far, no mess and no breakouts!

My daughter also pulls on her hair a lot and then places her fingers in her mouth so it was important for me to find something that wouldn’t harm her.

After some research I learned that 100% organic Shea butter is edible, which is great for the smaller children who still like to put everything in their mouths.

Another great thing about this Shea butter is that it doesn’t smell like anything. So I don’t have to worry about any unnecessary perfumes causing reactions.

The Shea butter comes in a solid state. I had to warm it up to even get any out of the container.

In its solid state it is white and when melted down it has a yellowish hue.

I just washed my daughters hair as normal and then applied a generous amount to her damp hair, making sure to massage into the scalp.

Right now, my daughter has about 3 different textures in her head.

The front and sides of her hair are really straight and fine. It doesn’t curl at all.

The crown or middle of her hair is a tightly curled, kinky texture and is the longest part of her hair.

The back of her hair is a loose curl pattern. And her strands are thinner back there.

Of course, she is still an infant and these patterns will change as she grows.

I picked up this container of Shea butter at Walmart.

Overall, I give this product a 10/10.
